Much of my production is made of dead-stock fabrics made in France and Italy, whole-sold by Beglarian Fabrics based in France. All of their fabrics come from high-end European designer houses, including haute couture, however, as a customer, I am committed not to specify the house name associated with a fabric.
I am happy to be able to make the clothes from top-tier materials and at the same time contribute my bit to savings on CH4, CO2 and water. To be more specific, a garment from my collection made of a WOOL fabric from dead stock, on average prevents 3kg of CO2 and 0.1 kg of CH4 emissions, and saves 40,000 litters of water. A garment made of COTTON fabric brings savings of around 5,000 litters of water, 1.5 kg of CO2 and 0.04 kg of CH4.

The environment-savings data are based on calculations using average values for each material.
As per the supplier's declaration, the methodology considers the environmental impact of manufacturing new fabrics (e.g. greenhouse gas emissions and water consumption) and their decomposition in landfills (which leads to CO2 and methane emissions). They use the following sources of the methodology: Life Cycle Assessment (LCA), Environmental Product Declarations (EPD), Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC).
